Penn State Interactive Map (via Gould Center)

In 2008 I designed an interactive map for Penn State's campus map website which will allow the user to view a variety of layers, including building functions, bike routes, lighted walkways, and Wi-Fi zones. Go to campusmaps.psu.edu to view the map.

Reference maps for websites, kiosks, brochures and invitations

Penn State University (via Gould Center)

I have custom made a large number of maps for individual Penn State departments and offices to help their audiences locate specific buildings on campus, as well as for off-campus events. I also created the White and Blue Course guides, and updated the Stone Valley Recreation Area Trail Map.

Information Kiosks (freelance)

I created the new layout for the information kiosk for the Mt. Nittany Conservency in State College, PA. Included in the design was an updating of the trail map, and a 3D terrain model of Mount Nittany showing the hiking trails superimposed on the image. The kiosk will be located next to the Bryce Jordan Center on the Penn State campus, with a great view of the mountain.

Real Estate Brochures (freelance)

Real estate locator maps can show not just where a home or business is located, but also nearby landmarks such as museums, theaters, subway stations, grocery stores, and parks.

Wedding and Party Invitations (freelance)

Designing maps for wedding invitations can be tons of fun. I match the style of the cartography with the style of the invitation. In these samples, I designed both the map and the directions on the back.

A simple map goes a long way placed within a party invitation. An elegant party or baby shower deserves better than a printout from an online directions website!

Campus Maps

Penn State: University Park (via Gould Center)

I design and manage the Penn State University campus map, as well as maintaining the campusmaps.psu.edu website.

Penn State Erie: The Behrend Campus (via Gould Center)

I also designed the map for Penn State Erie. Using aerial photos and AutoCAD files, I constructed each building in a 3D representation in the same style as the University Park map.

Penn State Hazleton (via Gould Center)

The latest Penn State map I redesigned was for the Hazleton campus. This map will be posted and printed by fall semester of 2008.
